sausage with fettuccine

The sausage with fettuccine recipe prep time: 15 minutes start to fi nish: 15 minutes 4 servings

1 package (9 oz) refrigerated fettuccine
2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce with Italian herbs
1 bag (1 lb) frozen bell pepper and onion stirfry, thawed, drained
1 ring (1 lb) fully cooked reduced-fat Polskakielbasa sausage, cut into 1⁄2-inch pieces
Finely shredded Parmesan cheese, if desired

1 Cook and drain fettuccine as directed on package; keep warm.

2 In same saucepan, stir tomato sauce, stir-fry vegetables and sausage. Heat to boiling.

3 Serve sausage mixture over fettuccine, or toss fettuccine with sausage mixture. Serve with cheese.

Notes and Tips:
easy variation Alfredo pasta sauce (26-oz jar) can be substituted for the tomato sauce with herbs.
