Ingredients:
1 lb block medium firm bean curd
2 eggs, 1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vegetable oil
2 tsp soy sauce
1 1/2 tsp sesame oil
1 1/2 tsp Korean chili pepper powder
or more or less to taste
2 tsp thinly
sliced scallions
1 1/2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
Method:
Slice the bean curd into 6 pieces and lay them out on paper towels to drain while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
Beat the eggs with the salt and set aside. Combine the sauce ingredients.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large, preferably non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
Dip the bean curd slices in the egg mixture and place them in a pan. Pour the remaining egg mixture over the bean curd. Fry until golden brown on one side, then flip over and cook until golden brown on the other side.
Transfer to a plate and drizzle with the sauce.
Notes and Tips:
You can use parboiled bean curd instead of pan-fried ones.
