Thanksgiving Mushroom Wild Rice stick it in the oven for 1 hr. at 350. You don't have to cover the dish and I guess you could add a small jar of mushrooms. This is the first recipe my mom taught me.
Ingredients
1 cup uncooked wild
rice (or wild rice and rice mixture)
1/2 cup sliced fresh
mushrooms
1/2 cupdiced sweet
Vidalia or white onion
1/2 cup diced green or red
bell pepper
tablespoon olive oil
teaspoon salt
teaspoon black pepper
cups 98% fat-free,
reduced-sodium
chicken broth
Method
1. Layer rice, mushrooms, onion and bell peppers in slow cooker. Add oil, salt, pepper and chicken broth.
2. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2/2 hours or until rice is soft and liquEd is absorbed. Makes 8 servings (½ cup per serving)
