Steamed Chicken with Bok Choy and Ginger

Steamed Chicken with Bok Choy and Ginger mirin is a spirit-based drink used in Japanese cooking. nice for Chinese new year recipe.

Ingredients 
fresh root ginger I cm (1/2 inch). grated
garlic clove I small, crushed
dark soy sauce I tablespoon
tangerine syrup I tablespoon
mirin 1 1/2 teaspoons
sugar 1 teaspoon
Chinese five-spice powder pinch
skinless chicken breast fillets 2
bok choy 2, halved
cilantro leaves, to garnish

Ginger salsa:
stem ginger 2.5 cm (1 inch). finely shredded
red chile I, deseeded and finely chopped
cilantro leaves a few, chopped
sesame oil I teaspoon
lime 1/2 juiced
salt and pepper

Method 
Combine the ginger, garlic, soy sauce, tangerine syrup, mir-in, sugar and five-spice powder: 

Put the chicken in a shallow, heatproof dish and coat with this marinade. 

Set aside for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, make the ginger salsa. Mix the stem ginger. chile, cilantro, sesame oil, lime juice, salt and pepper.

Place the chicken with the marinade ¡n a bamboo steamer and cook for 8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the dish and keep warm. 

Steam the bok choy in the cooking juices for 2—3 minutes.

Serve the chicken and bok choy with the ginger salsa, garnished with cilantro.
