Hot Cranberry Punch

Hot Cranberry Punch Recipe is easy to make and handy to have in the refrigerator when guests come calling at holiday time. It’s also wonderful to drink at night on a cold winter day.

Ingredients:
2 quarts cranberry- apple juice
2 quarts cranberry juice
1 cup orange juice
11⁄2 cups sugar
1 cup lemonade
4 cinnamon sticks
20 whole cloves
30 red- hot candies
3⁄4 to 1 cup rum, optional

Method:
1. Combine the juices, sugar, lemonade, spices, candies, and rum, if using, in a 5- quart stockpot.

2. Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour. Remove the spices.

3. Cool and refrigerate until serving time. Reheat in a micro wave- safe container.

Notes and Tips:
For easy removal of the spices, place the cinnamon sticks and cloves in a piece of cheesecloth and secure with string before adding to the juice mixture.
