Touchdown Taco Dip

Touchdown Taco Dip Recipe I started making this dip for parties and gettogethers about thirty years ago. As my children were growing up, their friends always requested it. Now my grandchildren love it. From Pamela Shank, Parkersburg, West Virginia

2 pounds ground beef
One 15- ounce can refried beans
One 11⁄4- ounce package taco
seasoning mix
2 cups shredded Cheddar
One 16- ounce container sour cream
One 16- ounce jar salsa
2 cups shredded lettuce
1 large tomato, diced
4 green onions, chopped
2 cups shredded Mexican- style cheese
Corn chips

Method:
1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet; drain. Add the refried beans, taco seasoning mix, and 1⁄4 cup water.

2. Mix well and cook over low heat until thoroughly heated, about 10 minutes.

3. Spread the taco mixture in a 13 × 9- inch baking dish. Sprinkle the Cheddar over the top. Cover with the sour cream and pour the salsa over the top.
