Filipino Daing na Isda


The Filipino Daing na Isda Recipe (Marinated Fish) Serves 4-5

Filipino Daing na Isda
Ingredients:
1 whole 2-3 lbs. milkfish (bangus), or fish of your choice
3-4 tablespoons vinegar
3-4 cloves garlic, minced and sliced finely
salt and pepper to taste
vegetable oil for frying
sliced tomato pieces for garnish

Method:
Clean fish and cut lengthwise along its back. Remove the fish skeletal bone and spread fish flat on a large platter. If desired, cut fish into serving pieces. Mix garlic, vinegar, salt and pepper.

Marinate fish with this mixture for 4-6 hours. In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, pan-fry marinated fish in enough oil until cooked and browned on both sides.

Transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with sliced tomato pieces.
