Filipino BUTTERED SPINACH

The Filipino BUTTERED SPINACH Recipe

6 Servings

Ingredients:
1/2 kilo spinach
1/4 cup butter
1 tablespoon minced garlic
Salt and pepper to taste

Method:
Wash and drain spinach leaves several times. Remove tough stems and wilted leaves.

Put spinach in a bowl and pour enough boiling water to cover. Let stand 1 minute . Drain well then plunge spinach leaves into a bowl of cold water. Let stand about 1 minute then drain well, squeezing out any excess water. Set aside.

In a deep pan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir-fry garlic until crisp brown.

Add drained spinach, stirring constantly until evenly coated with the melted butter. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
