The three bean beer pot recipe prep time: 20 minutes start to finish: 4 hours 20 minutes 16 servings (1⁄2 cup each)
Ingredients:
8 slices uncooked bacon, cut into small pieces
1 cup chopped onion (about 1 large)
1 cup barbecue sauce
3⁄4 cup regular or nonalcoholic dark beer
1⁄4 cup packed brown sugar
2 cans (15 oz each) black beans, drained, rinsed
2 cans (15 oz each) pinto beans, drained
1 can (19 oz) cannellini beans, drained
Notes and Tips:
1 In 10-inch skillet, cook bacon and onion over medium heat 7 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until bacon is crisp; drain.
2 Spray 3- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In cooker, place bacon mixture and remaining ingredients; mix well.
3 Cover; cook on Low heat setting 4 to 6 hours.
Notes and Tips:
For added convenience, look for bags of frozen chopped onions near the other frozen veggies.
