Tamari Roasted Almonds with Spicy Green Beans

Tamari Roasted Almonds with Spicy Green Beans Recipe its very sensational recipe very easy and tasty, could use less salt if desired. Chinese Asian taste recipe.

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 1/2 cups (500 g/1 lb) jasmine rice
2 tablespoons sesame oil, extra
1 long red chilli, seeded and finely chopped
2 cm (3/4 inch) piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
2 cloves garlic, crushed
375 g (12 oz) green beans, cut into short lengths
1/2 cup (125 ml/4 fl oz) hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon soft brown sugar
2 tablespoons mirin
250 g (8 oz) tamari roasted almonds, roughly chopped

Method:
Preheat the oven to moderately hot 200 C (400 F/Gas 6). Heat the oil in a 1.5 litre (48 fl oz) ovenproof dish. Add the rice and stir to coat with oil. Stir in 1 litre (32 fl oz) boiling water. Cover and bake for 20 minutes, or until all the water is absorbed. Keep warm.

Meanwhile, heat the extra oil in a wok or large frying pan and cook the chilli, ginger and garlic for 1 minute, or until lightly browned. Add the beans, hoisin sauce and sugar and stir fry for 2 minutes. Stir in the mirin and cook for 1 minutes, or until the beans are tender but still crunchy.

Remove from the heat and stir in the almonds. Serve on a bed of the rice
