Ingredients 

1 (18174 ounce) package calce mix (any flavor), plus

ingredients to prepare mix

2 containers (16 ounces each) vanilla frosting

Yellow and purple food coloring

2 packages (4 ounces each) sugar cones

Orange sugar, silver dragées and black decorating gel

Method 

1. Line 24 standard (2’/z-inch) muffin pan cups with paper baking liners, or spray with nonstick cooking spray. 

2. Prepare cake mlx and bake in muffin cups according to package directions. Cool in pans on wire racks 15 minutes. Remove cupcakes from peu; cool completely on wire racks.

3. Frost tops of cupcakes wïth plain, vanilla frosting. Tint ½ cup frosting with yellow food coloring. Tint remaining frosting with purple food coloring.

4. Spread sugar cones with purple frosting, covering completely.

5. Place 1 cone upside down on each frosted cupcake. Spoon yellow frosting into small, resealable plastic food storage bag. 

6. Cut off small corner of hag; pipe yellow frosting around base of each frosted cone, Decorate with sugar, dragêes and black gel, if desired. Makes 24 cupcakes
