Texas Barbecue Beef Sandwiches

Texas Barbecue Beef Sandwiches Recipe deli roast beef makes the texas bbq easy, but you can also substitute leftover cooked beef, chicken or pork for the roast beef in the recipe.

SAUCE:
3/4 cup ketchup
1 small (1/4 cup) onion, chopped
3 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons cider or white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons LAND O LAKES Butter
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic

SANDWICH:
1 pound thinly sliced deli roast beef
6 hamburger buns, split
6 (3/4-ounce) slices LAND O LAKES! Deli American Cheese

Method:
1. Stir together all sauce ingredients in 2-quart saucepan.

2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat to low; stir in beef. Cook until heated through (15 to 18 minutes).

3. To serve, spoon beef mixture evenly over bottom half of buns; top each with 1 slice cheese. Place top half of bun over cheese.
