Ingredients
2-1/2 cups brown sugar
1 cup salad oil
½ cup applesauce
2 large eggs
Blend together.
4-1/2 cups flour
1 Tbsp. baking soda
2-1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1-1/2 tsp cinnamon
1-1/2 tsp nutmeg
½ tsp. salt
Method
Add to mixture; set a side pecan halves (optional)
Roll into 2” balls. Bake at 350 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes.
To top with pecan halves, bake 3 minutes and then top with pecans.
Finish baking time after topping.
