Amish Sugar Cookies from Jean Colby. Holiday Dessert bake-off Christmas Special recipe. 

Ingredients 

1 cup sugar

1 cup powdered sugar

1 cup margarine

1 cup cooking oil

2 eggs

4 ½ cups flour

1 tsp cream of tartar

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp vanilla

Method 

Combine sugars, margarine and oil. Beat well.

Add eggs. Beat again. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. 

Drop small balls of dough on cookie sheet. Flatten with potato masher with granulated sugar. 

Bake at 275 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes. Sift powdered sugar on top of cookies after they cool.
